Born in 1975 in the city of Lviv, the cultural center of western Ukraine, Taras was raised in a mecca of art culture and Austrian, Polish, Russian, and Ukrainian influences. Taras graduated Lviv's Art School and College of Applied Arts of in 1994. After college, Taras was a noted exposition designer at Art Palace in Lviv, where he worked with many leading Ukrainian artists.

Living in the United States since 1997, Taras has applied the rich background of his Lviv art education and experience in his work as a muralist, creating elegant homes and compelling commercial environments in the New York tri-state region.

In addition to his work as muralist and faux finisher, Taras had multiple personal exhibitions in New York since 2002.
He has also been highlighted in group shows in New York, Chicago, and Lviv, Ukraine since 2000.
